Gymnophiona.org was founded for the purposes of providing accurate information on caecilians and creating an online community of caecilian enthusiasts. The information and services provided here will always be free. We are strictly non-profit, and you will never see advertisements on any pages.

It is my intention to make this site a collaborative effort where users contribute photos and information when possible. Without this, the site's evolution will not be nearly as rapid.

As any of you know who have searched the web for photos or information on these limbless amphibians, aside from the occasional oasis, it's a wasteland out there! If you have any information which you think might be useful to Gymnophiona.org, please contact me. If you happen to have some unused photos of caecilians lying around, or perhaps would like to write an article on caecilian care, please contact me.

This site will always be a work in progress. As new information becomes available, pages will be updated accordingly. Mistakes are human nature, and if you find inaccurate or outdated information on these pages, I'd like to know about it so it can be remedied as soon as possible.
